Geotextile Tubes / Geotextile Bag

Geotextiles tubes are flexible long tubes made of suitable geotextile of dimensions in the range of 1 to 5 m diameter and 20 to 40 m length. The tube is manufactured from high strength woven geotextile which is durable, UV resistant and delivers high performance. Protective measures like multilayer geotextile or armour layer using polymer rope gabion is suggested for better performance and life of geotextile tubes. Geotextile tubes can be laid in number of patterns and in different configuration according to the wave direction, wave height and purpose of structure. Since dredged sand or locally available local soil is used as fill material, geotextile tubes are 20 to 40 % cost effective than conventional materials depending on the site conditions.
